As most of you already know I recently moved to Jacksonville, Florida.   It was a forced move because my husband is in the Navy.  We made the mistake of not actually going on house hunting and ended up with a apartment that was referred to us via the base housing office sight unseen.  I mean sure we viewed pictures of the landscape and while the apartment is on the water with a beautiful view the neighborhood is not family friendly.  The other thing is well the apartment is decent but our washer and dryer is in the kitchen.  Can you imagine what that is like?

The other big issue with this apartment complex is the crime in the area.  Our complex is nice but the apartment complex next door is another story.  We woke up New Years Day to find our car window broken into.   While nothing other than a couple phone chargers were stolen the new window set us back about 250 bucks.  The police informed us there was not much they could do and that the neighborhood is no stranger to crime.  I wish we really would have done our research.

I wish I had known about this website that has apartments and  homes for rent. We could have found a house or apartment to our liking and even found out about the neighborhood and the surrounding schools.  We could have also found out about other important things such as lease details and the best way to get in contact with the property managers.

The other nice thing about this website is it helps us organize our move all in one spot.  While the military handles most of the move the website could have helped us out with so many different things.  I bet If I would have used this website that 1/4th of my belongings would not have been damaged.
